Dual Enrollment

A student is given both high school and college credit upon successful completion of a dual enrollment course. To be placed in an approved dual enrollment class, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Pass the 10th grade FSA ELA Reading and Writing (Level 3 or higher)
  • Pass the Algebra 1 EOC
  • Have a minimum, unweighted GPA of 3.0
  • Have 14 high school credits
  • Have a score that indicates College Readiness on the SAT, ACT, CLT or PERT.
  • A student must pass Reading Comprehension and one other section to be eligible for dual enrollment. The passing scores are good for up to two years

Benchmark College Readiness To Qualify For Dual Enrollment:

  • PERT: Reading 106, Writing 103, Math 114
  • SAT: Reading 24, Writing 25, Math 24
  • ACT: Reading 19, English 17, Math 19
  • CLT: Verbal Reasoning + Grammer &Writing 38 Quantitative Reasoning 16

FLDOE Dual Enrollment Guidelines

  • Dual enrollment is an Early College Program that enables high school students to enroll in college courses while also earning credit for their high school diploma, a career certificate, an industry certification, or an associate or bachelor's degree at a public institution in Florida or an eligible private school.
