  • The Value of the AICE Diploma for South Sumter High Students and Families

Given the rigorous requirements for the Florida Academic Scholars award through the Florida Bright Futures program, many students may feel pressure to achieve the necessary SAT/ACT scores. This is where the AICE Diploma comes into play.

Students who complete all the requirements of the AICE Diploma will automatically qualify for the Florida Academic Scholars award, regardless of their GPA and ACT/SAT scores. This means that students can secure this prestigious scholarship without the added stress of reaching specific test scores. The only exception is that students must still fulfill the community service hour requirement.

In summary, the AICE Diploma provides an excellent opportunity for South Sumter High School students to earn the highest Bright Futures scholarship without the pressure of stringent testing requirements.

While the AICE Diploma is a remarkable opportunity, it involves rigorous coursework. It’s not a program to enter lightly; students must pass the exams, not just complete the courses, to earn the diploma. Success in the AICE program requires dedication, discipline, and a strong commitment. If students struggle to meet the expected standards, they may be withdrawn from the program.

If you are considering pursuing the AICE Diploma, please reach out to your grade-level school counselor. Email is the preferred method of communication on this topic.
